August Sunday Assembly (Sunday, Aug 16th)
by Nick Carpenter - Wednesday, 12 August 2015, 11:46 PM

The August Sunday Assembly will be held this month at Swallow Hill Music's "Daniels Hall" on 71 East Yale Avenue, Denver, CO 80210 (Corner of Broadway and Yale Ave) on Sunday, August 16th at 12 PM. This is our regular meeting location and time.

We are very excited to announce that the guest speaker will be Hemant Mehta, the author, blogger, and atheist activist. His books include, I Sold My Soul on eBay and, The Young Atheist's Survival Guide. His YouTube channel, "The Atheist Voice", has 130,000 subscribers.

Hemant Mehta is a regular speaker at free-thought and skeptical events around the U.S. He attempts to build bridges of understanding between believers and non-believers through his blog, "The Friendly Atheist". The Sunday Assembly organization team has worked hard to bring him to Denver, so this is one Assembly you don't want to miss. See the Sunday Assembly Meetup for other events happening the weekend of Aug 14 - 16.

We will also celebrate this month with songs to sing along (or listen) to with live music from Pale Blue, plus songs from the Sunday Assembly Choir, inspirational readings, and other fun bits. Sunday Assembly is a non-religious congregation who's mission is to help everyone find and fulfill their full potential in this one life we have. Our motto is live better, help often, and wonder more.

Join us afterwards for coffee and baked goods, and feel free to bring your own baked goods to share!

Parking: The parking lot is diagonal to the venue, on the south side of Yale Avenue. Access through the alley. Parking overflow is available on Yale Avenue or on Broadway, unless restricted. Please respect our neighbors and try not to park on the residential streets.
